Ingredients:
• 2 ¼ cups of flour
• 2/3 cups of sugar
• 1 egg, plus 1 egg yolk
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 10 TB spoon butter, softened
• ½ teaspoon baking powder
• ½ teaspoon vanilla
• ½ cup chopped peanuts, optional

Directions:
• Mix butter, egg, salt, sugar, vanilla and baking powder.
• Add flour. Mix well.
• Cover with plastic and put to the fridge for 30 minutes.
• Roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
• Cut into circles with doughnut cutter.
• Place cookies on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper.
• Put in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
• Preheat oven to 390 degrees F.
• Brush cookies with egg yolk mixed with 1 tablespoon of water.
• Sprinkle nuts on top.
• Bake 10 to 12 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely.
