Ingredients:
• 200 g of sugar
• 7 tablespoons butter, melted
• 1/2 teaspoon baking  soda
• 100 ml of water
• 1 3/4 cup flour
•  1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp ground cardamom
• 1/2 tsp ground cloves
• 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
• 1/2 tsp dry ginger
•  1/4 tsp nutmeg
The glaze:
• 4 tbsp of milk ⠀
• 2 cups of powdered sugar ⠀
• peppermint/orange/lemon extracts

Directions:
• Place sugar into dry pot over medium heat.
• While it is melting bring water to boil.
•  Once the sugar begins to melt, stir it.
• When the sugar has melted add water. Be very careful.
•  Continue stirring until all the sugar dissolves.
• Remove from heat, add soda and  spices, stir well.
• Add butter, stir well.
• Add flour.
• Knead the dough until  smooth and shiny.
• Place in a fridge for 1 hour.
• Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
• Roll the dough  about 1/5 inch, cut out cookies, put on a baking sheet.
• Bake in preheated  oven for 5-10 minutes.
For Icing:
• Combine sugar, milk, and your favorite extract in a medium-sized bowl and stir until combined.
•  Transfer to a piping bag with a piping tip, or place in a Ziploc bag and snip a small piece of the corner off.
• Pipe frosting on cookies.
• Allow frosting to harden before enjoying.
• Keep uneaten cookies sealed in an airtight container at room temperature.
