Ingredients:
• 2 lb ground beef
• 1 cup bread crumbs
• 1 onion, finely chopped

Sauce:
• 2 onions, chopped
• 1 egg
• 1/4 cup oil
• salt, pepper
• 6 carrots, grated
• 1 (28 oz) can of crushed tomatoes
• 6.5 cup beef broth
• 2 TB spoons flour
• 2 TB spoons butter
• 2 bay leaves

Directions:
• Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
• Mix together ground beef, bread crumbs, finely chopped onion, egg, salt and pepper.
•  Heat oil in a large skillet.
•  Form meatballs and fry in the skillet  (2 minutes per side).
• Remove from the skillet and place in an oven safe dish.
• Return skillet to the stove.
• Saute chopped onion for 3 minutes.
•  Add carrots and  tomatoes and saute for 2 more minutes.
• Add beef broth, bring to boil and simmer for 20 minutes.
• In a small skillet saute flour and butter, until golden.
• Add flour and bay leaves to the broth mixture.
• Boil for 10 minutes, stirring from time to time.
• Pour the sauce over the meatballs.
• Put the meatballs in the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes.
