1/2 cup sugar
1 stick butter (8 TB spoons), melted
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup jam (left over cranberry sauce)
In a medium bowl, cream together egg and sugar.
Add butter, mix.
Stir in the baking powder, salt, and flour.
Divide dough into two (place 1/3 dough into the freezer for 15 minutes).
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Spread 2/3 of the dough on the cookie sheet.
Spread the jam over it.
Grate 1/3 of the dough over the jam.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, cookies should be golden brown.
Cut into squares while still hot.
