Ingredients:
Steak:

• 1 pound 85% lean ground beef
• ½ cup plain bread crumbs
• 1 large egg, beaten
• 1 tablespoon Hoisin sauce
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1 teaspoon dry mustard
• 1 teaspoon soy sauce
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon  ground black pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 tablespoon flour
• 2 tablespoons salted butter
• 1 tablespoon oil
Gravy:
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 8 oz. white button mushrooms, sliced
• 1 cup diced onion
• salt to taste
• 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 2 cups  beef broth
• 1tablespoon Hoisin sauce
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions:
Steak:
• Gently combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, Hoisin sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Do not overmix, or the patties will get tough.
• Divide the mixture into 8 equal oval patties, making them about 1/2-inch to 3/4-inch thick.
• Dust the patties with flour.
• Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
• Cook the patties for 3 minutes per side until nicely browned.
• Remove the patties from the pan (they will finish cooking in the gravy).
Gravy:
• Add the remaining butter to the same skillet.
• Add the sliced onions and mushrooms, cooking until soft and browned (about 8 minutes).
• Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and onions, stirring for 2 minutes.
• Slowly whisk in the beef broth, Hoisin sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
• Bring to a simmer until the gravy thickens, about 10 minutes.
• Return the beef patties to the skillet, spooning the hot gravy over them.
• Cover and simmer on low for 5 minutes until the meat is fully cooked through. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
